Riverside handpan retreat
Frequently asked questions
Q:

What is your COVID-19 policy? Will I be required to be vaccinated? How you will ensure everyone stays safe?

A:

The health and safety of our attendees is our #1 priority for Riverside Handpan Retreat. To ensure everyone at the event is safe and healthy we will be requiring either proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours of the event.

If you cannot procure a COVID-19 test prior to arriving we will be offering medical grade on site COVID-19 rapid testing administered by a registered nurse.

At the event we will provide, hand sanitizer stations, facial masks (if desired, but not required), and we will disinfect high touch surfaces regularly.

Q:

I’m not able to attend for the whole weekend, are day passes available?

A:

We now have day passes available on our Registration page!  Day Passes are for one day each, and include all the day's activities including food (breakfast, snacks, dinner), workshops, that day's concert, access to the main gathering cabin, opportunity to purchase handpans and other items directly from attending builders and other attendees, and access to play shared instruments.  Day passes do not include a tee shirt or raffle entry. If you are not able to join us for a whole day, we will have a public concert on Saturday night!  Please see our Sounds of Steel page for Saturday concert details.

Q:

Will facial masks or social distancing be required at Riverside Handpan Retreat?

A:

No. While we will make every effort to maintain the health and safety of all Riverside attendees we will not be enforcing mask wearing or social distancing.

Q:

I'm just a beginner can I still come?

A:

Absolutely!  This retreat is meant for anyone interested in the handpan, from beginners to seasoned veterans.  There will be something to learn for everyone and we're confident you'll walk away with new ideas, challenges, and inspiration.

Q:

I can't bring my handpan, will one be provided for me?

A:

While we ideally want each attendee to bring a handpan or two, if you can not bring your handpan we will make sure you have a handpan to play.

Q:

My child/significant other doesn't play the handpan but would like to come to join me, can they come to the event?

A:

Space at Riverside is limited so at this time we are only allowing tickets to be purchased for handpan players that want to actively participate at the event. However, if we have unsold tickets as the event date approaches this policy may change. Contact us at planethandpan@gmail.com to inquire.
